Sussex -based Shaw Harley-Davidson is welcoming legendary custom bike builder Roland Sands to the UK next month with a party in his honour at The Honey in Brighton. Trend-setting Sands will be the guest of honour at the event, which will be hosted by Harley-Davidson enthusiast and former boy band member Matt Willis.
In addition to a live Q&A session with Sands, the event will have a focus on Harley-Davidson fashion wear, music from a live band and a racing area showcasing the XR1200 racing motorcycle that former AMA Champion Sands will race at Brands Hatch on 6-8 August in the one-make production-based Henderson Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy.
Tickets to the event are on sale for just £10 per person and can be bought from Shaw Harley-Davidson, Holmes Hill, Lewes, East Sussex BN8 6JA. Tickets include entry to the event which runs from 6pm to 10pm, champagne and canapés and a free after party. A number of celebrities, who have a passion for the Harley-Davidson brand, are also expected to attend.
“The interest in this event has been amazing and we’re expecting up to 400 people to turn out on the night,” says Harley-Davidson Dealer Principal Steve Willis. “Harley-Davidson is a really cool brand and Roland Sands’ being part of the evening, makes this a can’t miss event for any Harley or custom bike enthusiast.
“The live music and planned activity on the night will create a fantastic atmosphere at the Honey. We’re already the biggest importer of Roland Sands parts for our Shaw Custom Shop and we think this will really put us and Brighton on the map as leaders in customised motorcycles.”
