The Kisbee is the latest newcomer to the Peugeot range. According to Peugeot it’s tailored to urban life with its compact size and fuel-efficient 4-stroke engine, the Kisbee will also be the first scooter to sport the Marque’s new Lion logo.

After Tweet in the spring and Vivacity 125 in early summer, the Kisbee 50 is now set to hit the streets in autumn. The third new product of the year, the Kisbee will bolster the Peugeot offering on the strategic compact entry-level scooter segment, representing over 40% of European sales volumes for 50 cm3 models and on which Peugeot has a 19% market share.

Peugeot is honouring a long-standing tradition for successful economic scooters begun by the STL and taken forward by Vivacity, Zénith, Ludix, V-Clic or (New) Vivacity, all of which made it into the top 5 for sales in France.

The same ambitions have been set for Kisbee which will supplement a range currently made up of Ludix, V-Clic and Vivacity. Its features are aimed at winning over a mixed target made up of those on modest incomes seeking a scooter which is easy on the eye, reliable and practical for short day-to-day trips.

The Kisbee will be equipped with a new 4-stroke engine which is both clean and fuel efficient: its consumption measured at 2.8l/100 kms offers autonomy of 200 kms thanks to a 6.5L tank. In total, 8 improvements have been made to the engine to ensure enhanced performance levels and comfort:

  • new crankcase
  • new cylinder head
  • new lighter piston
  • new connecting rod
  • new air filter
  • new exhaust
  • carburettor with heater
  • new transmission

In terms of style, Kisbee comes in 4 colours, Celest Blue, Coral Orange, Polar White and Pearl Black, giving it a high-impact appearance to go with its level of finishing: chrome headlights, aluminium wheel rims, tinted wind deflector, aluminium passenger grip, etc.

The scooters storage compartment can accommodate all fullface helmets while its level floor pan is handy for transporting unwieldy items. Its bag hook and helmet hooks (2) will satisfy the most demanding users while an additional 30 or 34 L top case can be fitted as required.

The Kisbee weighs in at 85 kg and, according to Peugeot, it’s ergonomics make it ideal for bikers of all sizes with almost 45 cm between the seat and the floor pan. The passenger also benefits from the extra comfort thanks to a soft two-place seat and two extendible foot rests, exclusive in the category.

On the safety front, the 12’’ wheels maximise road holding while the 170-mm disc brake brings added peace of mind. Kisbee even has audible indicators, a feature which some high-end scooters still do not offer.

The Kisbee will go on sale for 1,199 euros.
