Confederate motors do make some exclusive looking motorcycles. They don’t bring them out often, but when they do they generally cause some jaws to drop.
The latest release sees the new C3 Hellcat made available for reservation and also see’s Confederate split it’s offerings into ‘minimalist’ and ‘existentialist’.
The C3 falls under ‘minimalist’ and it’s not hard to see why. Confederate claim they set out to build the toughest motorcycle ever made.
To do this they developed a new unitised powertrain casing, precision carved from a 400 pound block of 6061 aircraft grade aluminium. The resulting case weighs just 40 pounds and makes for excellent structural integrity.
Confederate also teamed up with S&S Cycle to develop the engine to get maximum off-idle broadband torque delivery. The patented powertrain is fused to the new motor and is designed, specified and built to maintin perfect crankshaft to output shaft alignment, irrespective of the suddenness or the volume of torque.
