Yamaha Super Tenere
Yamaha have updated their ’story’ for the Super Tenere: http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/super-tenere/. Does it tell us anything new? Not really, still, inventive story telling!
Yamaha has placed a video on YouTube showing some details about the new Yamaha Super Tenere you’ve all been waiting for.
The 4 stroke, in-line 2 cylinder bike will feature:
- 3 position ABS & UBS (Unified Brake System) or linked brakes
- Yamaha D-Mode (engine mapping)
- YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle)
- Traction Control
- Shaft Drive with Hypoid Gear
- 270 Degree Crank
- Side Mounted Radiator
We’re sure you’ve all seen the cloth wrapped Jawa that was at the Tokyo Motor Show (see right if not). There are various sites claiming to have exclusive shots of the eagerly anticipated bike, including an alleged toy based on the bike (not sure why a toy would be released before the bike?).
It seems that Yamaha are taking the fight to BMW and Ducati who both have bikes in the same style out for 2010 (though they’ve both shown their hands) with the R1200GS & Multistrada 1200 respectively.
